Robert John Trosclair Sr.

Trosclair, Robert J. age 92 of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, formerly of Lake Park, FL, passed away on December 25, 2017 in Palm Beach Gardens. Mr. Trosclair was born August 10, 1925 in New Orleans, LA, son of the late Dozelien Trosclair and Louise Rodrigue. He had been a resident of the Palm Beaches since 1968 coming from New Orleans. He was in Traffic and Marine Operation with West India Shipping Company for 18 years retiring in 1992. Mr. Trosclair was an active member with Santa Maria Council #4999, Knights of Columbus serving as its Grand Knight, coordinator for the Blood Bank for the Council, coordinator for volunteer pallbearers with the Council and served for 12 years as Financial Secretary for the Council, two terms as president of Columbian Building Association, and also a member of the Father Andrew Doherty, Assembly, Fourth Degree, Knights of Columbus, St. Vincent de Paul Society, Cursillo Movement, Christian Family Movement for 50 years, served in the soup kitchen for many years and was a veteran of WWII serving with the U.S. Navy. He was an active communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church of Riviera Beach, where he served in various ministries. Mr. Trosclair was preceded in death by his first wife Miriam Trosclair on October 12, 1999. Survivors include his beloved wife Clare Celeste Andriello Trosclair; devoted children Stephanie (Kenneth) Pocsi of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Robert J. (Susan) Trosclair, Jr. of Lake Clarke Shores, FL, Peter (Michelle) Trosclair of Palisade, CO, Philip (Laura) Trosclair of Lake Worth, FL, Mark Trosclair of Detroit, MI; Lynn (Buck) Williams of Riviera Beach, FL; brother Emmett (Diana) Trosclair of Chackbay, LA; adored eight grandchildren Gilbert, John, Danielle, Brian, Scott, Aaron, Katherine and Rebecca; and seven great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2017 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and then from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a rosary service at 7:00 pm at Taylor and Modeen Funeral Home, 250 Center St, Jupiter, FL 33458. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 4, 2017 at 10:30 am at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 220 W 20th St, Riviera Beach with Fr. Peter as celebrant. Interment will follow at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens, West Palm Beach.
