Nicholas Rojo

Nicholas "Nick" Rojo, 44, unexpectedly passed away on Monday, September 7, 2026. Born on June 17, 1982 at Mercy Hospital in Miami to Nicholas and Patricia "Pat" Rojo, Nick was raised in Palm Beach Gardens. From an early age, he possessed the energy, determination, and entrepreneurial spirit that would come to define so much of his life. He played nearly every sport he could growing up and developed an interest in business remarkably early—even investing the money from his First Communion. Nick attended Rosarian Academy and Cardinal Newman High School before attending Georgetown University, where he was a four-year letterman in football and was recognized as an Academic All-American. He graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Finance and Business Management. Following Georgetown, Nick began his career in investment banking at Wachovia, where from 2005 to 2009 he worked in capital raising and advisory services. He subsequently worked in commercial real estate for a family office from 2009 to 2014. In 2014, Nick partnered with his friend Jeff Burns to create Affiliated Development, where he would spend the next 12 years helping build a company and pursue a mission about which he cared deeply. As President of Affiliated Development, Nick led the development and operation of mixed-income and workforce housing communities throughout Florida. Nick’s work combined his natural entrepreneurial drive and financial acumen with a belief that successful real estate development could also strengthen communities and create meaningful opportunities for the people who lived in them. Nick's commitment to his community extended well beyond his professional life. He served on the Broward County Sheriff's Advisory Council and supported the West Palm Beach Police Athletic League. He was also an active member of the Palm Beach Chapter of Young Presidents' Organization (YPO). Yet for all that Nick accomplished professionally, the most important part of his life was his family. Nick was a devoted husband to his wife, Sarah Davis Rojo, and a loving father to his three sons, Landon Davis Winning, Nicholas Albert “Nicky” Rojo III, and George Henry Rojo. His greatest pride was not found in business accomplishments or professional titles, but in the life he and Sarah built together and in being a father to their boys. Nick and Sarah first met in December 2017 at a local charity event. As fellow Florida natives, they shared many friends and values in common, and genuine connection with others became central to their life together. They were married on November 14, 2020 at First Presbyterian Church in North Palm Beach. They celebrated the birth of their first son, Nicky, in 2021, and another son, George, in 2023. Nick will be remembered as an honorable, generous husband whose marriage was full of love and joy. Nick was a devoted, protective, dependable father. His children will carry his spirit of selflessness, hard work, and humility. Nick’s enormous circle of friends stretches far and wide, including childhood friends, high school and college teammates, business colleagues, community leaders, elected officials, and the hard-working families of Florida that Nick creatively found ways to provide homes for. His positive impact on those families will endure for years to come. Nick is survived by his beloved wife, Sarah Rojo; his three sons, Landon Davis Winning, Nicholas Albert Rojo III, and George Henry Rojo; his mother, Patricia "Pat" G. Rojo; his sister, Cristina Rojo-Sirico, and her husband, Ralph Sirico; his niece, Lily Rojo-Sirico; and his nephew, Ricky Koston; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Elizabeth Davis; and his sisters-in-law, Melanie Davis Craft (Darren), Katherine Davis Bale (Jonathan), and Kristen Davis Norman (Cole). He was preceded in death by his father, Nicholas Albert Rojo; his sister, Patti Rojo; and his grandparents. Nick will always be remembered for his ambition and determination, but also for the loyalty he showed to the people he loved, the friendships he built throughout his life, and the tremendous love he had for his family. His life was far too short, but it was full of family, friendship, fun times, achievement, purpose, and an enduring desire to build something meaningful for those who would come after him. By all of these measures, Nick’s short life was an extraordinary success. The service of celebration of Nick’s life will begin at 12pm on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, 10970 Jack Nicklaus Dr, North Palm Beach, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to “The Nick Rojo Charitable Fund” at the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties, which will allow Nick’s philanthropic impact on the community to live on in perpetuity.
