Mary Langan Baxley Vincent

Mary “Molly” Baxley Vincent passed away peacefully on August 19, 2026. She was 91 years young. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Loyola Baxley; her sister and brother-in-law, Ann and John Weeks; her son-in-law, Mike Pellicci; and her beloved husband of 56 years, Bob “Bobbie” Vincent. She is survived by her four children, Glenn Vincent, Suzanne Pellicci, Teresa Longfield and Matthew Vincent; their spouses, Laurie Vincent, Jim Longfield, and Holly Vincent; her grandchildren, Grace, Joshua and Sophia Vincent, Michael and Alexander Pellicci, Lily Kate and Nicholas Vincent; her siblings Bert and Alicia Baxley; and many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. Born in Mobile, Alabama, Mary moved to New Orleans at age four. After graduating from the Academy of Holy Angels, she joined the National Bank of Commerce. Undeterred by experiencing three bank robberies, she rose through the ranks to Assistant Manager of the Riverside branch, retiring just before marrying Bob on March 16, 1968. An avid athlete from her youth, Mary played on championship volleyball, softball, and bowling teams. Mary and Bob met in a bowling alley, and their future family enjoyed many fun times at Jupiter Lanes. The family moved several times; from New Orleans to Connecticut, then back to New Orleans briefly, before settling in Jupiter, Florida for good in 1977. Mary joined St. Jude Catholic Church in Tequesta and raised her kids in the Faith. She was an active parishioner: she attended daily Mass, led the rosary, and participated in a Cenacle for Priests group, a rosary group at The Pavilion (a rehabilitation facility), and a rosary-making group. Mary survived a complicated birth in 1974, two battles with breast cancer in the 1990’s and raising four rambunctious kids. Her rock-solid faith and sense of humor kept her strong throughout her life. Deeply devoted to the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, she completed many pilgrimages to pray for her family, friends, and the strangers she met on the way. Both Mary and Bob were living examples of sacrificial love to their family and friends. Mary loved family game nights, traveling, New Orleans food and history, taking lots and lots of pictures, reading (especially mysteries and learning about her faith), and sweets, including a particular fondness for chocolate ice cream. She leaves a wonderful legacy behind to ensure her family is taken care of while she’s busy praising God with the angels: the family’s patron saint, St. Anthony, so they don’t lose their way; St. Jude for extreme situations they need help getting out of; and Padre Pio, to remind them to always “pray, hope and don’t worry.” In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Catholic Church.
