Kenneth W. Sanzone

Kenneth (Ken) Sanzone, loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend passed peacefully on July 06, 2021 at the age of 70 while surrounded by his family. His devotion to his family and his firm belief and unshakeable faith in God supported him through his brief illness and ushered him peacefully home. Family was everything to Ken - his legacy is a large and loving group who mourn his passing but celebrate his life. He leaves his wife Mary and his children Anthony (Stacy), Angela Valencis (Stan), Alison (Jon Parsons), Amanda Ursino (Enzo) and Michele along with his grandchildren Matthew, Andrew, Michael, Isaiah, Gianna, Violet, Adley, Giovanni, and Lola. Born in Waterbury CT February 1,1951 to Pasquale and Gilda Sanzone he leaves behind his siblings Patrick (Rick) of Ocala FL, David of Trumbull CT, Charles (Chuck) of Watertown CT and Marybeth Hauser of Watertown CT, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends that will miss him dearly. Ken attended Kennedy High School in Waterbury CT and began his successful career building relationships in manufacturing and sales for Waterbury Swiss Automatics and Sheldon Precision/Curtis Screw in Prospect CT. After his retirement, Ken made it clear that he was done with the snow and cold and moved to Florida with his wife, where they thanked God daily for the blessing of family and he proclaimed almost every day to be a “top 10 day.” Everyone who met Ken and spent even a few moments in his company came to love him. He never met a stranger and was always willing to spend a minute or a day offering advice or a helping hand. He was never without a project or something to do, and he could figure out how to build or fix anything, as evidenced by his meticulously restored pride and joy classic Mustang. Ken lived every moment to the fullest. He adored his family above all else, and relished sharing his love of good wine, a homemade meal and his famous hand-mixed Manhattans with those he loved. His family remembers him as extraordinarily brave, larger than life, and an amazing example of a husband, father, and friend. There will be a memorial service at Family Church in Jupiter, FL on Saturday, July 10 at 11:00 AM. There will also be a celebration of life and memorial held in CT at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Ken’s honor to Family Church, Jupiter or in his name to a charity of your choosing.
