Alfonso Ocasio

Alfonso (Fonso) Ocasio, a cherished Son, Father, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, and Friend, passed away on February 8, 2024, in West Palm Beach, Florida. Born to the late Angel Luis Ocasio and Concepcion Velez, Fonso, as he was affectionately known, was also preceded in death by his stepfather Basilio (Tito) Morales and brother Luie Ocasio. He is survived by his devoted mother Concepcion Morales, beloved children Tiago Alfonso Ocasio and Catarina Ocasio, and their mother Valeria Ocasio. Additionally, he is remembered fondly by his brothers Alfredo-Kimba (Charlene) Vasquez and Tony (Loralee) Ocasio, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Fonso was known for his love of people, evident in his jovial interactions with clients and coworkers regardless of his role. He tirelessly endeavored to ensure everyone felt welcome and at ease, having worked in various massage, physical therapy, and medical clinics throughout his career. His genuine warmth and outgoing nature endeared him to all, leaving no stranger in his wake. Beyond his professional pursuits, Fonso harbored a deep passion for martial arts, finding joy in both teaching and performing various forms of the discipline over the years. He also was self-taught in playing the drums and had an enormous passion for music. Yet, his greatest devotion lay with his family, particularly his cherished children Tiago and Catarina. He treasured their shared moments, relishing in quiet evenings watching movies, listening to music, and simply being together. A voracious reader, Fonso found solace and inspiration in exploring biblical, leadership, and other literary genres, perpetually seeking growth in faith and knowledge. His unwavering belief in his children's potential drove him to be their staunchest supporter, a role he continues to fulfill as their biggest cheerleader from Heaven. Alfonso Ocasio's legacy is one of love, kindness, humor, strength, and unwavering dedication to his family and community. While his earthly journey has come to a close, his spirit lives on in the hearts of all who were touched by his boundless compassion and infectious zest for life. Until we meet again.
