Zachary D. Gilman

November 30, 1989 - April 22, 2012

Age 22, of West Palm Beach, FL went home to be with the Lord on April 22, 2012 in Orlando, FL. Zach was born November 30, 1989 in West Palm Beach. He was a graduate of The King's Academy Class of 2008 where he played on the soccer and swimming teams. He currently was attending the University of Central Florida, majoring in Economics and Finance, with a minor in Spanish. Zack also continued to play recreational University soccer and liked to work out at the gym, although he was shy to show off his muscles. Zach was a true Florida young man as he enjoyed the beach, surfing and scuba diving. He also loved to travel, from the mountains of West Virginia, to the beaches of Costa Rica, to the snow slopes of Utah and Colorado, to the Grand Canyon of Arizona. He was a hard worker, whether in a summer construction job, volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, or as a college part-time valet parker. But his true passion was for family and friends for whom he always had a quick smile or an encouraging word, the ability to make you know that he loved you, or the deep and abiding love he had for his brothers. Those who are left to cherish his memory include his mother, Debi (Doug) Pereboom; father, Ron Gilman; brothers, Chase and Jeff Pereboom; maternal grandmother, Ruth Dean; paternal grandmother, Kaethe Gilman; grandparents, Eugene and Elaine Pereboom; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM, Saturday, at United Methodist Church of the Palm Beaches, 900 Brandywine Road, West Palm Beach, FL 33409. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to United Methodist Church of the Palm Beaches, 900 Brandywine Road, West Palm Beach FL 33409, or to The Habitat for Humanity, 6758 N.
