Russell B. Eavenson, Jr.

Russell B. Eavenson, 91, of Jupiter, Florida, passed away on January 22, 2019 at home. Born in Deland, Florida, Russell moved to Miami at a young age. He married and raised his family in Miami Springs; and after retiring with a 30-year career as a State Farm agent, he moved to Jupiter, Florida with his wife Charlotte. He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell B. Eavenson, Sr, and Geraldine Eavenson and his wife in 2012. He is survived by his daughter, Dawn Watkins (David) of Palm City, Florida and sons Russell B. Eavenson III (Patty) of Miami Springs and Curtis Eavenson (Mary Bee) of Woodland, Washington, 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. As a young man he and owned and raced a stockcar that they raced in Daytona on the beach at the beginning of NASCAR racing. Later he built and flew radio-controlled airplanes and traveled to race tournaments to compete in competition. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and building mandolins and violins. He also traveled to Bluegrass festivals to play Bluegrass music with his group of friends and each week would play locally. He loved his family and was very proud of their life achievements.
