Ronald D. Bedard

March 22, 1940 - February 1, 2022

Ronald (Ron) Dennis Bedard, Jupiter FL., 81, born 3/22/1940 in Zurich Ontario, Canada, came to rest, 2/1/2022 at his home in Jupiter, Florida. Ronald Bedard is survived by: his wife, Kathy Bedard; his sons, Dennis Bedard, Benjamin Bedard (Laura Schwartz), Andrew Bedard; his grandchildren, Rachel Bedard, Jackie Bedard, Drew Bedard, Noelle Bedard, Emma Bedard, Noah Bedard, Lillian Bedard, Lincoln Bedard and Macallan Bedard. Ronald Bedard was many things to many people, but a friend to all. He was a good listener, but also enthusiastically discussed any topic. He was kind and gentle, but was determined and fierce. He could captivate a crowd with a story, but could also have an intimate conversation with one. He was a great leader, but could also take other’s counsel. He was conservative in the way he led his life, but liberal in his views of the world. He was parsimonious but generous without reproach. He was successful but knew when to slow down and enjoy life. He could make you cry and make you laugh. He would console you when times were tough and be the first to celebrate with you when times were good. He traveled the continent but loved to just be home. He was proud to be a Canadian but loved America. He knew when to listen, but also when to offer advice. He was respected but also respected others. He was comfortable being alone but welcomed regular visitors to his home. He was serious but silly when the moment called for it. He liked to discuss philosophy and politics but also sports. He was positive but realistic. He was confident but humble. He was a great man but aware he was not perfect. He could be quiet but also passionate. He was very fortunate but took care of those who were less fortunate. He was always busy but always made time for you. He lived a long and good life but not long enough for those who loved him. He was a brother, husband, father, and grandfather. But most of all, he loved and was loved. He will be incredibly missed. A viewing will be held at Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home in Jupiter, FL on February 6, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at St. Jude’s Catholic Church, Tequesta on February 7, 2022 at 1:00 p.m.
