Robert James " The Rock" Schiavo Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Age 83 of Tequesta, FL passed away Tuesday, January 03, 2012 at the Jupiter Medical Center. Born in Chicago, IL, he had been a resident of Tequesta for twenty-two years, coming from Appleton, WI. Prior to retirement, Mr. Schiavo was Vice-President of Kimberly Clark Corporation in Neenah, WI where he worked for thirty seven years. Mr. Schiavo was a member of the Knights of Columbus of St. Jude Catholic Church and volunteered for nineteen years as a Lector and Eucharistic Minister. He also volunteered at El Sol in Jupiter. He is survived by his loving wife Charlotte Schiavo with whom he celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary; one son, James Schiavo of Appleton, WI; six daughters, Cindy Pullinger of Gurnee, IL, Melissa Schiavo of Chatsworth CA, Kathy Heinz of Naperville, IL, Denise Blanks of Tequesta, FL, Courtney Freimuth of Alpharetta, GA and Barb Jacob of New Berlin, WI; one brother, Frederick Schiavo of Port St. Lucie, FL; one sister, Mildred Lenza of Chicago, IL; twenty-eight grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. The family of Robert Schiavo would like to thank the nursing staff in the Progressive Care Unit at Jupiter Medical Center for their loving care and support given to our father. A Private Vigil Service will be held, Saturday, January 7, 2012 at the Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home, 250 Center St, Jupiter, FL. A memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
