August 21, 1928 - December 25, 2021
Paul Culver died peacefully at his home in Jupiter, on Christmas Day, after a long illness. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Carol Culver; his son, Matthew; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law and brothers-in law, John and Jackie Gyurco, Bob Sinicrope and Frances Scanlon, and his cousins, George and Jan Gentile, the best friends anyone could ever hope for. He was born in Flint, Michigan on August 21, 1928, where he spent the first 40 years of his life, until moving to Connecticut in 1968, eventually, moving to Florida in 1989. He lived and worked in Flint until he joined the Army, from 1950 to 1952, and was very proud to have been a Korean War veteran. Upon leaving the Army, he opened a financial planning business, having offices in several locations. Upon moving to Connecticut, he closed this business and opened a travel agency, which became very successful and afforded him the opportunity to travel throughout the world. His love for travel continued even after selling the agency and moving to Florida and for the last 20 years, he and his wife traveled whenever they could. Paul was a man of great faith and loved being a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. A Memorial Service will be held in his honor on January 11th at 10:00am, in the Peace Chapel, at St. Mark’s on Burns Road in Palm Beach Gardens. Anyone wishing to make a donation in Paul’s memory may do so to Hearts of Palm, c/o St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 3395 Burns Road, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410, or any other charity of their choice.
