Marion Rutledge

Marion Rutledge, age 88 of Jupiter and Tequesta, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Jan, 31, 2012. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York to Isabel and George Turner. She enjoyed spending her summers near Bear Mountain, N.Y., graduated from Bishop McDonnell HS and was proud of her time as a Telephone Operator in New York up until the time she started her family. Her Catholic faith was very important to her and it always sustained her in tough times. She devoted herself to raising her family on Long Island with her husband and love of her life, John who predeceased her in 1984. She was a role model to her children – as they learned from her how to treat others through her actions. Everybody who met her would say what a sweet and loving person she was. She was also always ready to help with caring for her 9 grandchildren at a moment's notice including Erin and Jack who predeceased her. She is survived by and will be greatly missed by her 5 children and their spouses, George (Alison), John (Ava), Charles (Patti), Mary Bosco (Paul), and Anne Vela (Jose). Her surviving grandchildren include Laurice, Eveline, Sara Pereira (John), Peter Bosco, Katie Bosco, Alison Vela, and Michael Vela.
