Col. Joseph H. Barber, age 103, of Ocean Park, Jupiter,FL, died January 11, 2015. He was born in West Chester, PA. and graduated from the West Chester High School in 1930 and also the Warton School University of Pennsylvania in 1934. He worked for the National Bank Of Chester County, Dupont, Chef Boy Ar De and Metalweld, Inc. He became a Certified Public Accountant and had his own business. For 33 years he served as a Director of The Hoxie Harrison Smith Foundation. He was a graduate of the command and General Staff School and the Industrial War College. In World War II he served in the North American and Pacific Theater. After World War II he commanded the 358th Civil Affairs Headquarters retiring in 1972. His memberships included the American Institute of Public Accountants, Pennsylvania Institute of CPA's, Reserve Officers Association, American Legion, #322 Masonic Lodge of West Chester, PA, and Jupiter Tequesta Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Marian P. (nee Phillips) Barber whom he married in 1938, his son, Charles P Barber (Emile), and grandson, Joseph Charles Barber.
