John A. Pla

February 2, 1940 - January 23, 2014

John A. Pla, age 73, of Jupiter, Florida passed away on January 23, 2014 after an extended battle with lung cancer. John was a passionate New York Yankees fan and an avid golfer always ready to play anywhere and anytime. John was most proud to have served his country in the U.S. Army for over 22 years. Following his military service, he founded a successful systems software company, known as Nations Inc. that served businesses throughout the United States. John is survived by his wife and companion of 22 years, Donna, (nee Longo) mother Frances Fillers, sister Ingrid Michlin, daughter Darlene Montanaro, and grandson Victor Montanaro John was a true patriot, proud of his service to his country. The family asks in lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the WOUNDED WARRIORS of South Florida, 1335 Old Dixie Highway Suite 3, Lake Park FL 33403. A viewing is planned for Monday, January 27, 2014 from 1:00 till 5:00 PM at Taylor and Modeen funeral home on 250 Center Street, Jupiter, FL. Final funeral services will be at 1pm, on Tuesday, January 28 at St. Patrick's Church on Prosperity Farms Road, Palm Beach Gardens. Honor guard services will be performed at Riverside Memorial Park immediately following Mass.
