Jeanette Beyer

January 1, 1918 - May 14, 2012

94, of Tequesta, FL, went to Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on May 14, 2012. She was surrounded by her loving family in her home along with the gentleness of Hospice. She was cared for attentively by Hospice of Palm Beach County for three months. Born in Washington, D.C. to Orie and John Gibson. She later worked for the FBI in D.C. In 1948, she moved to Maimi Beach and was a Legal Secretary and later secretary to Pastor Bob Davis of of Old Cutler Presbyterian Church. After moving to Tequesta in 1983 with her husband Carl, she was a volunteer at Jupiter Medical Center's Gift Shop for seventeen years. Jeanette had a cheerful smile for everyone! She was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church of Tequesta Past Secretary of the Jupiter/Tequesta Republican Club, member of the Daughters of the American Revolution for seventy five years and a Founding Regent of Jupiter Lighthouse DAR for 3 terms since 1985, member of the Dames of the Court of Honor. She was a patriot who loved American. Jeanette was a lifetime member of the O.E.S. Mayami Chapter. Jeanette loved animals and donated generously to Humane Societies. She enjoyed playing the organ, going to the beach, reading and studying the Bible, playing canasta, volunteering, and most of all she loved being a wonderful listener to her family and friends. Jeanette loved life and adored her family and friends. Her memory and beautiful smile and hugs will be forever cherished by her daughter, Diane (John) Blackmon; son, Charley (Maria) Short; stepdaughter, Sharrie (Bill) Waldrip; seven beloved grandchildren and her precious cat, Meesha and countless devoted friends. Her husband, Carl of 22 years, predeceased her in 1993. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Campus Crusade for Christ, SAVE-A-PET or the Wounded Warriors. A visitation will be held from 5-7 PM at the Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home, 250 Center Street, Jupiter. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:30 AM at the 1st Presbyterian Church, 717 Prosperity Farms Road, North Palm Beach, FL with the Rev. Walter B. Arnold, III, officiating. The family has requested NOT to wear black, Jeanette loved colors. The interment will be 1 PM at Riverside Memorial Park in Tequesta
