Doris Collamer Fitz-Gerald August 3, 1913- February 24, 2011 Doris C. Fitz-Gerald of Palm Beach Gardens, FL passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2011. Mrs. Fitz-Gerald is survived by her daughter, Jane Antonopoulos (husband, Buddy) of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and son, Dudley B. Fitz-Gerald of Fernandina Beach, FL. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Brian Antonopoulos of Palm Beach Gardens, Tracy Antonopoulos of New York, Dudley Braden Fitz-Gerald III of Houston and Robert Sean Fitz-Gerald of Port St. Lucie and great-grandson, Cash Antonopoulos. Mrs. Fitz-Gerald was born in Hilton, New York where she lived until she attended the Rochester Business Institute. After graduation she married Dr. Dudley Fitz-Gerald and moved to Lockport, New York where she resided until she became a full time resident of Palm Beach in 1973. For the past seven years Doris resided at La Posada in Palm Beach Gardens. She is predeceased by her husband, Dr. Dudley Fitz-Gerald; father, George Robert Collamer; mother, Maude Walrath Collamer; brothers, Warren Collamer and George Collamer; and sisters, Alice Close and Elnora Gear. Mrs. Fitz-Gerald had active social interests and was a member of Lockport Town and Country Club, Country Club of Buffalo, Everglades Club and the Beach Club. She was also a member of the Royal Poincianna Chapel in Palm Beach. Doris was an avid golfer and loved playing bridge and poker. Her bright shining smile and wit will be greatly missed by family and friends. In lieu of flowers her family requests contributions be made in her memory to www.vitascharityfund.org.
