Chester J. Galewski age 74 of Tequesta, FL, formerly of Chelsea, MA, died on November 12, 2017 after a lengthy battle with COPD. He was the son of the late Chester F. Galewski and Rita Galewski. He was born in Chelsea, MA and was a resident for 69 years. He was the husband of Deborah Galewski for 40 years and the father of Krystal Gadless and her husband William of Boca Raton, FL, Shannon Scolly and her husband Joseph of Jupiter, FL, the late James J. Galewski and his wife Lisa of Castle Rock, WA, and the late Chester F. Galewski II. He was the brother of Joanne Hendrick and her husband Paul of Newark, DE, Linda Caruso and her husband Savy of Swampscott, MA, and the late Maureen Galewski. He is survived by 5 grandchildren, Taylor Scolly and Joey Scolly Jr. of Jupiter, FL, Amanda Valentine, Amber Ripp, and Zack Galewski, and great grandson Clyde Ripp of Washington state. He was a graduate of Chelsea High School and worked at Global Petroleum for 38 years as a Truck Driver and Terminal Operator. He was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 25 Union of Boston, MA, as well as an active member of the Teamsters Local 25 Retirees Chapter. He was also an active member of St. Stanislaus Parish and the Polish Political Club in Chelsea, MA. A visitation service in memory of Chester will be held at Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home located at 250 Center St. Jupiter, FL 33458 on Friday, November 17th from 4pm to 7pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. Jude Catholic Church located at 204 U.S. 1, Tequesta, FL 33469 on Saturday, November 18th at 10am. A reception will follow at Vulcano’s Italian Restaurant located at 221 South U.S. 1, Tequesta, FL 33469. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your local hospice.
