Bertha "Bea" Lowery

Bertha M. Lowery "Bea" age 76, of Tequesta, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Aug. 7, 2012. Bertha was born on April 10, 1936 to Alfred and Elizabeth Margeram in Philadelphia, PA. Bertha had a passion for education and was a preschool teacher at Christ The King Lutheran Readiness School for 28 years. A State Leader with Gideon's Auxiliary. Member of 1st Baptist Church of Tequesta. Also a vital part of development of new Churches in the area. Bea leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted husband of 57 years Jesse Norbert Lowery of Tequesta; 4 wonderful children son Gary (Dianne) Lowery of Paris, TN; daughters Karen Barkalow of Tequesta, Brenda (Dale) Nixon of Jacksonville, FL, Tammy Johnson of Port St. Lucie, FL.; 10 Beloved Grandchildren Brien Lowery, Nicole Willard, Rodney Scott Barkalow, Thalassa Crews, Derrick Nixon, Jarrod Nixon, Heather Friend, Amanda Villanueva, Rachel Friend, and Zackary Slutsky; 8 adorable Great Grandchildren Katie Lowery, Kailey Jae Willard, Jacob Bronson Willard, Ayden Crews, Wesley Crews, Landon Friend, Alyssa Pounds, and Jada White. Friends and family may call on August 10, 2012 Friday 3pm to 5pm and 7pm to 9pm at Taylor and Modeen Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be August 11, 2012 Saturday at 11:00 am 1st Baptist Church of Tequesta with Pastor Paul Beresford officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Memorial Park.
