Patricia Lynn Kennedy

In Loving Memory of Patricia Lynn Kennedy Patricia Lynn Kennedy was born on July 23, 1948, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, to Linda and Albert Sabol. She graduated from Bullard-Havens High School and went on to build a life filled with family, friendship, hard work, laughter, and an unmistakable spirit all her own. Patricia was preceded in death by her first husband, Francis Kennedy, and her longtime partner, Clarence Smith. Patricia was a woman of many talents and many chapters. She was, in many ways, the original Tupperware lady, bringing her natural charm and personality to everything she did. She was also a successful hairdresser and a longtime employee of Sikorsky Aircraft, where she dedicated many years of her life. Giving back to others was deeply important to Patricia. She volunteered with Safe Space, an organization especially close to her heart—a thrift store that supported battered women. Her compassion for others and her willingness to help those in need were a beautiful reflection of the heart she carried. But above all else, Patricia cherished her family. They were the center of her world and the source of some of her greatest joy. She adored her friends as well, and treasured the countless hours spent laughing, talking, sharing stories, and simply enjoying life together. Patricia had a way of making people feel welcome, loved, and a little more alive just by being around her. She was courageous, strong, sassy, fiercely loving, and completely unforgettable. She wore the name “Princess Patty” well—because there was truly no one quite like her. She had a light that shone bright, and everyone fortunate enough to know her was better for having shared in it. Patricia's favorite place to be was by the ocean, where she found a sense of peace and happiness. She loved her family, she loved Jesus, and she never turned down a good Reuben sandwich. These simple joys, along with her laughter, her stories, her sass, and her enormous heart, are the memories those who loved her will carry forever. Patricia is survived by her daughters, Tara Kennedy and Kerri Kennedy; her son, Evan Kennedy, and his wife, Fonda Kennedy; her granddaughters, Kerra, Lillian, Matilda, and Fiona Kennedy; and her grandson, Cameron Flecha. She is also survived by her sister, Wendy Sabol-Low, her husband, Robert Low, and their children (Patricia's niece and nephew), Jacob Sabol-Low , Elisabeth Sabol-Low and Elisabeth's husband, Sean Conway . She leaves behind a family and circle of friends who will miss her more than words can express. Though her earthly journey has come to an end, the love she gave, the lives she touched, and the light she brought into this world will continue through all of them. Rest peacefully, Princess Patty. May you be forever surrounded by the love you so freely gave to others, and may the ocean waves carry you home.
