Patricia D. Elder

Patricia D. Elder, nee Dalton, age 83, died peacefully surrounded by her family at Seabury Skilled Nursing facility, a caring and loving community in Bloomfield, CT. From the time Pat was born in Rosedale, Queens, NY, on September 22, 1936 to her death on December 17, 2019, she nourished everyone around her with love, faith, compassion and kindness. Pat was predeceased by her husband, Charles “Corky” Elder, and is survived by their three children Beth Elder of Avon, CT, Denise Lindblad and her husband Rob of West Hartford, CT, and Charlie Elder and his wife Diane and son Jonathan of Bethpage, NY. She was predeceased by her parents Ed and Mary Dalton, her in-laws Bill and Agnes Elder, her sister Clare Kall and her husband Ray, brother Jimmy Dalton and his wife Loretta, brother-in-law Bill Elder and his wife Deta. Pat is survived by her brother Bob Dalton and his wife Pat, sister Maureen Guadagno and her husband Ralph, brother-in-law Doug Elder and his wife Amy. Pat’s life was filled with love and joy for her four grandchildren. She is survived by Thomas and Kristen Elder and their mother Roe Elder of Hicksville, NY, and Erik and Kyle Lindblad of West Hartford, CT. Pat was very fortunate to grow up in a large extended family and cared very deeply for her many nieces and nephews, near and far. She also cherished her wonderful lifelong friends who loved and supported her throughout the years. Calling hours will be on Friday, December 20, 2019 at the Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home 136 South Main St., West Hartford from 4-8 pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 21,2019 at 10:00 am at Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in West Hartford. The Elder and Lindblad families would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the staff at the Seabury Davis Center and Seabury Meadows Memory Care facilities for their attentiveness and loving care of our mother.
