With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Mynhard “Len” Lindeque, who left us on January 21, 2025, at the age of 59. Born on April 17, 1965, in Kroonstad, South Africa, Len was the beloved son of Frieda and Len Lindeque. Len lived a life of service, dedication, and unwavering devotion to his family. His early career was marked by 15 years of honorable service in the South African Police Force, where he worked across multiple specialized units. He served on the front lines, fighting on the border, before transitioning into narcotics enforcement, detective work, and later the anti-corruption unit. His time in law enforcement shaped his strong sense of duty, resilience, and integrity, values that guided him throughout his life. Following his distinguished police career, Len transitioned into real estate development, where he played a pivotal role in significant development projects. He thrived in the hands-on operational aspects, working closely with contractors and tradespeople, ensuring that every project was executed with precision and care. His ability to manage complex developments made him a respected figure in the industry. While his wife, Susan, was the visionary entrepreneur, Len was her steadfast support, managing the operations behind the scenes. Together, they built and managed various businesses, including a health spa, guest houses, real estate businesses, and large-scale real estate developments. His ability to structure, organize, and oversee daily operations allowed Susan to focus on growth and strategy. He was not only her business partner but also her greatest supporter, ensuring that their shared visions became a reality. At the heart of Len’s world was his family. He was a devoted husband to Susan, demonstrating his love in countless ways—running her bath every evening for 34 years, cooking for her daily, and driving her home late at night after long business events. His thoughtfulness and dedication made him a pillar of love and strength in their marriage. As a father, Len’s devotion to his two sons, Ruan and Rocco, knew no bounds. His love and guidance were ever-present, but his unwavering care for Rocco, who underwent a brain operation at just two months old and required extensive medical care, was extraordinary. Len was by Rocco’s side every step of the way, ensuring he received the support, rehabilitation, and encouragement needed to thrive. His love and dedication were most evident in the way he helped Rocco learn to walk again after multiple operations, proving that his strength as a father was limitless. One of Len’s greatest passions was golf, which he played almost every Saturday or Sunday. He found immense joy in playing with Susan and Ruan on various golf courses around the world, making the game a cherished family tradition. His love for golf extended beyond playing—he also opened his own driving range, where he was happiest teaching and mentoring others, sharing his passion and expertise with anyone eager to learn. Len was known for his kindness, generosity, and selflessness. He had an open heart and a giving spirit, always going out of his way to help others, whether in business, friendship, or everyday life. He was the silent strength behind many, ensuring those he loved were taken care of in every possible way. His impact was immeasurable, and the love and wisdom he shared will be carried on by those whose lives he touched. Despite his strong and determined spirit, Len faced significant health challenges. He suffered his first heart attack at 45, followed by two more in the years that followed. His fourth and final heart attack took him suddenly at home in Jupiter, Florida, where he passed within 45 minutes on January 21, 2025. Though he was taken far too soon, his legacy of love, strength, and generosity will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him. Len is survived by his beloved wife, Susan, and their two sons, Ruan and Rocco Lindeque, who were his greatest pride and joy. He is also lovingly remembered by his sister, Lucelle Joubert, along with many dear friends, extended family members, and colleagues who will forever cherish his presence in their lives.
