Josephine Mary Moore

Josephine Mary Moore 83 of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, formerly of Bayonne, NJ died after a brief illness and went home to Jesus and her husband, Jimmie, on Sunday February 16, 2020. Jo was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother; she will be dearly missed by all those who loved her. Jo worked as an Officer Manager for most of her life until she retired to Florida in 1996 and ran the front desk of the Jupiter Reef Club until she permanently retired in 2013. Jo was dedicated to her family, church, and service to others. She was a former President of the Catholic Council of Women, she served as a Eucharistic Minister, she was a former President of the Jupiter Elkettes, she enjoyed Bible Study, and making baskets for the Fashion Show. After her husband, Jim, died a little over a month ago, Jo was broken hearted at the thought of being without her honey. As high school sweethearts, Jo’s entire life was intertwined with Jim, her first and only love. Jo loved to travel with Jim, to shop, and to be with family. Her love of family knew no bounds and to those closest to her she was Mom, Ma, Nana, Aunt Dodo, Mamma, and MammaDu. Jo was a special lady and had an infectious personality that drew others to her. She will always be known for her tasteful style, perfect hair, and love of shopping. Jo was predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years Jimmie Kennard Moore, Sr. and is survived by her children and their spouses Jimmie K. Moore Jr. and his wife, Kathleen, and Donna (Moore) Hayes and her husband, Donald; her loving grandchildren, Shawn Brian Hayes, Jimmie Kennard Moore, III, Justin Brian Hayes and his wife Michele, and Zachary Christopher Moore; her great grandchildren, Hadley Rae Hayes, Noah Calvin Hayes, and Wyatt Gideon Hayes; and her sister in law June Moore. She is predeceased by her loving parents James Noto and Jennie (Vancardo) Noto, her loving brother Sam Noto and his wife Jean Noto, her brother in law Leonidas Calvert Moore, and her nephew James Noto. She was loved by her nieces Maryann, Patricia, and Cyndi and her nephew Joseph who all knew her as “Aunt Josie” and “Aunt Dodo”; her Godson, John Lasalandra-Russell; and so many extended family and friends. We will miss her terribly but take solace in knowing she is forever with Jim. May Jo Rest in Eternal Peace and dance up a storm in heaven with Jim. Jo will be laid to rest at a Memorial Mass at St. Jude Catholic Church in Tequesta on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at 10 am. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Jo Moore’s name to St. Jude Catholic Church 204 US-1, Tequesta, FL 33469.
