Geraldine “Gerri” Ann Baxter (née Adams), a beautiful soul who touched the hearts of everyone she met, passed away peacefully at her home on June 11, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 22, 1943, in Queens, New York, Gerri’s life was a testament to kindness, generosity, and joy. She was the beloved daughter of Edward and Mary Adams, who instilled in her a deep sense of compassion and integrity. Gerri was predeceased by her devoted husband, James Francis Baxter, with whom she shared more than 50 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with love, adventure, and laughter. A loving mother and grandmother, Gerri, affectionately known as “GiGi,” is survived by her son, James Baxter; her daughter, Alison Pisciotta; and her son-in-law, Steven, all of whom will forever cherish her memory. Her grandson, Chase, and granddaughter, Ava, were the lights of her life. Family was her greatest treasure, and she took immense pride in their achievements and happiness. Gerri enjoyed a successful career as an administrative assistant and bank teller. Her professionalism, warmth, and genuine interest in others made her a valued colleague and cherished friend. A faithful member of St. Ignatius Church, she lived her faith through service and compassion. She especially enjoyed participating in toy drives for children and giving back to her community over the years. Her love for the arts was a defining part of her life. A devoted theater enthusiast, she held season tickets to the Kravis Center for many years and found great joy in the stories brought to life on stage. As an art lover, she drew inspiration from museums and art exhibitions, including the renowned Art Basel in Miami. Her passion for travel took her on adventures around the world, with a particular fondness for Europe, where she immersed herself in its rich history, culture, and beauty. GiGi also enjoyed playing canasta with friends and gathering for happy hours at her favorite restaurants, sharing laughter and creating countless treasured memories along the way. Known for her grace, class, and sparkling wit, she had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel valued and loved. Her infectious laughter and easygoing nature made her a wonderful companion, whether she was listening attentively to a friend’s story or sharing in life’s simple pleasures. She was truly the kind of friend everyone hoped to have, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her. As we remember Gerri, we celebrate a life beautifully lived—filled with love, laughter, faith, friendship, and an unwavering spirit. Her legacy of laughter, kindness, and love will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. A Memorial Mass celebrating Gerri’s life will be held on June 18th at 11 am at the Cathedral St Ignatius at 9999 N Military Trail Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410
