George Fred Wartzok

George Fred Wartzok, of Jupiter, Florida departed this earthly life the afternoon of November 5th, 2020 with the love of his life, Nancy, by his side. He lived his life and left it on his terms! Born April 22,1936 to George Roy and Violet (Erdmann) Wartzok, in Racine, WI. He met Nancy through mutual friends in high school. In 1955, upon graduating high school, he enlisted in the Marines. In May 1957, after being separated for a year while serving in CA, he hitch hiked home (yes, from CA to WI) to marry his sweetheart. They immediately set out on an adventure, driving the long road back to the Mojave Desert, CA. After being stationed in CA for a number of years, they moved back to WI where he became an Electrician, was employed by American Motors and started their family. In 1970 they moved their family to Florida where he accepted a position with Pratt & Whitney Aircraft and we all became what was then known as "Pratt Brats." After 28 years, he retired in 1999. George was a die hard Packer fan, loved camping, traveling and playing cards. He coached his children in sports; football, baseball & softball and was a Boy Scout Master for years. He was very active as a Fourth Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus and a Deacon at St. Peter's Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Nancy, his daughter Wendy(John) Moecher and their two sons, Connor & Logan, Jupiter, FL; his son Mark(Tina) and their daughter, Carley and his son, Scott, Prairie du Chien, WI. He is predeceased by his parents, George & Violet Wartzok and his sister, Marlene(Rod) LeAnna (WI). He was an amazing man, husband, father, grandfather & friend. He loved his children and grandchildren very deeply and had a smile for everyone he met! He will be forever loved & missed.💖 A Visitation will be held on November 19th from 4 PM to 7 PM at Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home, 250 Center Street, Jupiter, FL 33458. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on November 20, 2020 at 10 AM at St. Peter Catholic Church, 1701 Indian Creek Parkway, Jupiter, FL 33458.
