Daniela Lynn Whiteside

Daniela Lynn (McCann) Whiteside February 22, 1973 - March 28, 2024 Daniela (McCann) Whiteside, 51, unexpectedly left us around 1am on Thursday, March 28th due to complications with her health brought on by her battle with lung cancer. Daniela led a life loving others but none more dearly than her own children and family. She always loved with her whole heart and would try to make the best of every situation. After moving with her family from St. Louis, Missouri to Florida in 1979, Daniela grew up and lived most of her life in the Palm Beach Gardens and Jupiter areas. After graduating from Jupiter Christian School in 1991, she attended and graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic College (now University) in 1995 after pursuing a degree in Elementary Education. She quickly began her teaching career eventually making her way to Eisenhower Elementary. She would finish her career there after a total of 29 years in Palm Beach County Schools. As a Media Specialist and Librarian in the later part of her career, she was able to interact with nearly every student in the school and effectively touched countless lives over many years. Nothing was more important to Daniela than her family. She was a mother with the purest heart. She was a sister, daughter, aunt, and cousin who always had her entire family’s best interest in mind. Daniela always sought to put others first, wanted everyone to get along, and made sure holidays were inclusive of the entire family. She was a peacemaker, an event planner, and the family social coordinator. Over the last 18 months, Daniela bravely battled Stage 4 Lung Cancer. She always had a smile on her face through it all. She never wavered in her faith and, through every trial, was resolute that she would overcome anything in her path. She continued to uplift others until her last breath and in a true teacher’s fashion, left those who knew her with positive lessons to be learned. Daniela is survived by her daughter Kailee and son Brandon. She will always be remembered and cherished by her parents Tim and Shirley McCann and her two brothers Adam and Michael. The family is holding a Celebration of Life service on April 14th, 2024 at 3PM located at Living Oaks Church, Palm Beach Gardens FL.
