In Loving Memory of Colton Hastey It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved son, Colton Hastey, at the age of 19. Colton was a treasured son, a loving brother, a devoted grandson, a cherished nephew, and a loyal friend. Though his time on earth was far too brief, the impact he made on the lives of those around him will be felt forever. He is survived by his loving parents, Dawn and Jason Hastey; his beloved brother, Jackson Hastey; his grandparents; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family who loved him dearly. He also leaves behind countless friends who became like family. Colton’s genuine heart, unwavering loyalty, and resilient spirit drew people to him. Whether you had known him for years or had just met him, you were better for knowing him. The ocean was where Colton felt most alive. He loved surfing, fishing, and diving, and found peace in the beauty and power of the water. Like his father, he was also captivated by the sky, with a lifelong fascination and love for airplanes. Colton embraced life with curiosity, adventure, and wonder. Colton was a student at the University of North Florida, where he was pursuing his education while looking ahead with hope and excitement for the future. He had dreams yet to fulfill, places yet to explore, and a life that held so much promise. While our hearts ache with unimaginable grief, we find comfort in God’s promises. As Christians, we hold firmly to the hope that because of Jesus Christ, death is not the end. We rejoice in knowing that Colton is now in the presence of his Savior, where there is no more pain, no more sorrow, and perfect peace. Though we long to have him with us, we are comforted by the assurance that we will see him again. Colton’s life reminds us that the measure of a life is not found in its length, but in the love it leaves behind. His kindness, loyalty, adventurous spirit, and unwavering love for his family and friends will continue to inspire all who knew him. A Celebration of Colton’s life will be held on August 30th, 1pm til 5pm at Jupiter Civic Center. Though the waves will continue to roll and airplanes will continue to soar across the sky, they will forever remind us of Colton. His memory will live on in every sunrise over the ocean, every shared laugh among friends, and every act of genuine kindness. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” —
