Betty Rodriguez

Betty Rodriguez, was a few weeks shy of her 90th birthday when our Lord called His precious daughter home on April 27, 2024. Betty was a gentle soul full of amazing faith, virtue and love despite suffering great losses and countless trials all throughout her life from a young age. Betty humbly accepted all that came her way and with great grace, love, tremendous fortitude and perseverance sacrificed all that she had for her family and loved ones, for her friends and for strangers she would never meet but for whom she would offer the little she had along with her prayers full of love. All who were blessed to encounter Betty were made to feel welcomed, appreciated and loved whether she was in their life for a brief season or for a lifetime. Betty with her sweet peaceful demeanor reflected our Lord’s light, love and beauty like a calm body of water reflecting the sunshine from above. She is survived by her sisters: Yolanda, Candy and Miriam; her daughters: Ana Minerva Seda, Desiree Reyes (Felix), and Michelle Kalian (Chris); her grandchildren: Gabrielle Cuevas (Jonathan), Nick Ojeda (Jacky), Alexa Russell (Tristin), Roberto Reyes, Jackie Reyes, Michael Kalian, Christian Kalian, and Matthew Kalian; and her Greatgrandchildren: Jonathan and Nathaniel Cuevas, Yesenia and Boaz Ojeda, Atticus and Magnolia Russell, and Zachary Reyes. This loss of our matriarch, mother, sister, grandma, aunt, and friend is tremendous but we feel her love and we know that she is exactly where she belongs. We grieve with hope and pray to all be together in our Lord’s Presence one day. Betty you were a smiling, dancing, welcoming angel of pure light and love to everyone who crossed your path and your mission of spreading God’s grace and reflecting His heart were completed beautifully. We thank God for the privilege of being loved by His precious daughter and pray to live a life of sacrifice, sincerity, humble acceptance, kindness and love as our dear Betty, our Tata, Missy, Bettylise, and Mama taught us so that we may hear what she most certainly will, “Well done, my good and faithful servant. Since you were faithful in small matters, I will give you great responsibilities. Come, share your master’s joy.” (Matthew 25:23) Visitation will be held at Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home in Jupiter, FL on Friday, May 3rd from 3:00PM-6:00PM. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Jude Catholic Church in Tequesta, FL, on Monday, May 6th, at 11:00AM, directly followed by the burial at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery, in Royal Palm Beach, FL, at 1:00PM. Following the burial, a luncheon will be held to honor Betty's life at 3:00PM, at IL Professore in Tequesta, FL.
