Benjamin Anthony Perini

Benjamin Anthony Perini went home to his Lord on March 19, 2023. Benjamin, 59, was born on October 21, 1963 in West Palm Beach, Florida. Benjamin served his country honorably during Desert Storm. Ben was deployed to Saudi Arabia with the Army’s 7th Transport Group as a missile operator. During his active duty, the Army authorized and awarded Ben: Marksman Badge Rifle M-16, Army Achievement Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Kuwait Liberation Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal W/1 Bronze Star, Humanitarian Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Army Label Button and Army Service Ribbon. Ben’s happy place was the beach. He loved surfing. Catching and riding the waves. The sun, wind and surf at the ocean brought him great joy and peace. The beach is where we all knew to go to find Ben when he was not working. Ben spent time with family, friends and co-workers fishing in both fresh and saltwater. Who came home with the biggest and best fish tales are memories that will grow and be shared by his many fishing companions. Ben was a passionate “Florida” sports fan. You knew not to disturb Ben when he was watching his beloved Miami Dolphins and the University of Miami Hurricanes. Ben would watch all the games together with his father or brothers or (if not at the same location), they would watch “over the telephone”. Ben was a great cook. His initial interest came from his parents preparing meals for the family. He honed his culinary skills while working alongside professional chefs. His family would ask him to cook the favorite and traditional recipes for the holidays and special celebrations. He took great pride and joy in cooking for his family and friends. Ben was a carpenter. His professional life was centered in the construction industry. He developed knowledge and carpentry skills while working in the multi-family, commercial and residential housing sector. Ben was a professional and skilled carpenter specializing in the construction of high-end custom homes. Ben was a gentle and loving son, brother, uncle and friend who will be greatly missed by all who shared and were a part of his life. Benjamin was predeceased by his Parents: Gloria Bates (Tobey) Perini; Louis R. Perini, Jr.; Siblings: Tobey Anne Perini; Paul Vennard Perini. Ben is survived by his loving sisters, brothers, niece, nephews, sister-in-law and brothers-in-law: Penny (Perini) McBride and husband Gary McBride; Sarah Perini, Lisa (Perini) Shannon and husband John Michael Shannon; Rita Perini, Louis Perini, III and wife Cynthia Perini, Susan Perini; Phillip Perini, Tiffany (Perini) Bachmann and husband Jonathan Bachmann; Hanna Mia Perini; Valerie Perini; Freddy Distasio and wife Elizabeth, and Jace Bachmann. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at Carlin Park, 400 South State Road A1A, Jupiter, Florida 33477 from (11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.). Ben’s family, friends and beloved surf buddies will help celebrate Benjamin in his final “Paddle Out” to rest amongst the waves, surf, sun and sand in the place he called home. The “Paddle Out” will be at 12:00 p.m. A Barbecue will follow the “Paddle Out” in the Laurie Schobelock Pavilion at Carlin Park.
