Ann Lynn Nunley

Ann Lynn (Darby) Nunley, age 89, of Jupiter, Florida, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 27, in the comfort of her home surrounded by family. Ann was born on August 11, 1936, to D. Lynn and Edith C. Darby. She married Charles E. Nunley in 1956, and together they shared 67 wonderful years before his passing in October 2023. A devoted mother of two and grandmother of four, Ann will be remembered for her deep love of family and steadfast devotion to her faith and church. She was an active volunteer for the annual Vacation Bible Schools at Grace Immanuel Bible Church of Jupiter. Throughout her life, Ann expressed her creativity through many forms of art — including stained glass, hand-built clay sculptures, and oil and watercolor painting. She enjoyed sharing her artistic talents through teaching and working in studios. In addition to her many artistic pursuits, she was an avid seamstress and home decorator. A favorite community service of hers was her active participation in the construction of Habitat for Humanity homes in Arlington, Virginia. She is survived by her son David C. Nunley (wife, Gay Alford Nunley) of Jupiter, and daughter Terri L. Nunley Edwards (husband, Bob H. Edwards) of Greenville, North Carolina. Grandsons include Jackson D. Nunley of Jupiter, Florida; and Alex Christopher Nunley of Jupiter, Florida; Jesse N. Edwards (wife, A. Taylor Edwards, and stepdaughter, Audrina S. Kearse) of Charlotte, North Carolina; Brady A. Donnenwirth Edwards (wife, Allison “Ally” Donnenwirth Edwards) of Raleigh, North Carolina. She is also survived by her nephew, Scot L. Darby of Powell, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Nunley; her parents, Lynn and Edith Darby of Clearwater, Florida; and her brother, Lee H. Darby of Delaware, Ohio. A Memorial Service for family and friends will be held at a later date to celebrate her life and faith. Interment will be with her husband at the South Florida National Cemetery.
