David John Kazarian

David John Kazarian, age 91 of West Hartford died peacefully on Sunday the 2nd of July 2017. David was born in Hartford Connecticut to the late Lazarus D Kazarian and Victoria (Manougian) in 1926. He married Lillilan Surabian in 1960 in West Hartford and was happily married for 57 years. David attended Hartford High, then, University of Rochester, Trinity College and finally the University of Connecticut where he received his law degree. He served in the Military from 1944 to 1946 in the reserves then was called for active duty in 1950 where he served the US Navy at the rank of Lieutenant. Upon discharge from the navy David opened a private law practice. He left his law practice to work at the Aetna Life Insurance Co for several years and was responsible for providing legal counsel on all aspects of group insurance coverages. In December of 1976 David became the assistant to the probate court administrator, state of Connecticut. David was admitted to the Connecticut bar July of 1950. He was admitted to the bar of the US Court of military appeals, October 1951. He was a member of the Connecticut, and Hartford county bar association, as well as the National College of Probate Judges and the American Judicature society. David was predeceased by his brother Edward. He is survived by his wife Lillian Kazarian, Sister in laws Elizabeth (Betty) Bagdasarian, and Ann Kazarian, their children Steven Surabian and his wife Debra, Rebekah Maynard and her husband Christian, Edward Paul Kazarian, Ann Morgan and her husband David. He is also survived by cousins David and Nancy Kazarian, and many other cousins to numerous to mention. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday July 5, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home 136 South Main St., West Hartford. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford.
