Ann L. Blake

Ann L. Blake, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on July 18, 2021. Ann was born to Herbert and Frederica Lindgren in Ridgeway, Pennsylvania, on May 5, 1958. She and her husband, Mark met when Ann went to go visit an interior design school in Maryland in 1977. Ann and Mark married on May 27, 1978, raised four wonderful children, and loved unconditionally three beautiful grandchildren. Ann is survived by her spouse Mark, her children and their spouses: Taylor and Bonnie, Logan, Carley, Parker and Lauren; grandchildren: Emma, Anabelle and Kaleb; brothers: Robert, Dave, and Ken. Ann loved, encouraged and cared for people from a very young age. Over her life she valued and accomplished many things. She was president of her senior class at Platt High School in Meriden, Connecticut. She received her education in architectural design and obtained an optician’s license. She was one of the pioneers of implementing many homeschool programs in Palm Beach County, and opened Specs & Winks along the side of her husband. Ann had a passion for artwork and enjoyed water coloring, oil painting, mixed media journaling, and using eye-gaze art technology. Ann was an avid follower of Jesus and lead many Bible studies, volunteered in the office and youth groups within the local churches, and depended on Christ through all circumstances. In lieu of flowers, Ann’s family requests donations be made to Team Gleason. Team Gleason provides people living with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) the resources and opportunities to not only continue living, but continue living productive, purposeful, and meaningful lives. Team Gleason has had such a vital impact on Ann’s life over the last several years as she continued her battle with ALS.
